Santander Wallet
Overview
Santander Wallet is a native app only available in Santander UK, that allows users to manage in a handy way all their Santander credit and debit cards. Users can use this app to check their expenses, set a monthly budget and block their cards in case of robbery.
Project Brief
The app was previously launched only for Android devices and me and my team were requested to design it and adapt it for iOS, and include new functionalities that had to be updated as well on the Android side.
My role: Product Designer
I was part of a big team (around 15 people) and I was the only product designer. I worked hand in hand with the product owner and business analyst to refine the requirements and the needs for each platform. Also, I worked closely with Android and Swift devs to give them support during the delivery phase.
The app consisted of the following parts:
Homepage: this is where users can see all their Santander cards and the top three categories where they’ve spent the most in the last month. Also, a generic CTA at the top is displayed in case users want to see all their cards spending at a time.
Spendings: in this tab users are able to see their spending in a very visual way (overview and trend view) and they are organized into categories. Tabs at the top allow users to change the period of time they want to see their spendings: weekly, monthly or yearly spendings.
Cards PIN: users can consult their cards pins by requesting an OTP (one time passcode) guaranteeing this way the security of users sensible data.
